Frequently Asked Questions
Many of our prospective clients have similar questions regarding the process surrounding our work and home staging in general. In this section, you will find answers to frequently asked questions we receive. If you don’t see your question asked and answered, don’t worry! This page is merely a sampling of commonly asked questions. We are more than happy to answer any and all of your questions regarding our process and how we differentiate ourselves from other home staging companies in Utah.
Where are you located?
We are located in a bedroom community just south of Salt Lake City.
Are your services only available to those in Salt Lake City?
No! In fact, we provide service all across the Wasatch front. We service the entire Salt Lake City metropolitan area, Utah County, Davis County, Tooele County, and Park City.
Why should I stage my home?
There are countless reasons as to why you should stage your home, but it mainly comes down to getting your property sold in short measure. Statistics show that homes that are staged usually spend less time on the market. Staging also makes it markedly easier for prospective buyers to visualize themselves in the space, free of distractions. Not to mention, research shows that home staging yields lucrative monetary returns.
Do you stage homes that are currently occupied?
No. Presently, we only provide services for vacant homes. Unfortunately, this is non-negotiable and any home or property that we work on must be vacant to qualify for our services. As one can likely deduce, vacant homes are a lot easier to stage effectively. Because we are a home staging Utahoperation that likes to build from the ground up, vacant properties are ideal. Empty properties also allow for us to easily exert total artistic freedom without limitations. When we stage your home, we will take into consideration the stylistic integrity of your surrounding neighborhood and area.
What is the difference between decorating and staging?
Staging companies in Utah and beyond aim to create a full sensory experience that appeals to the emotions of prospective buyers. Staging is inherently different from decorating in terms of the desired outcome. Decorating serves as a way to personalize a space, and add unique touches reflective of one’s unique sense of style. On the contrary, staging is strategic and neutral, allowing the buyer to imagine their belongings in the room. While staging aims to depersonalize a space, it still seeks to influence and promote feelings of positivity and comfort. Essentially, we want the buyers to feel like they’re already standing in their home.
How long does it take to stage a house?
We at Simply Staged are sensitive to the rapidly moving nature of the real estate industry. Because of this, we can guarantee a quick turn around in most circumstances. On average we only need two to three days’ notice to get all of our furniture organized and mobilized. The actual staging itself is even quicker, and we generally only need a day or a day and a half to complete the job. Regardless, we will keep you updated every step of the way.
Is staging expensive? How much will this all cost?
Each home staging Utah located company will have its own parameters and specifications when it comes time to accrue payment. In short, the price of staging will vary depending on numerous factors. We at Simply Staged are willing to work within the confines of your budget. We can even customize the amount of staging that goes into your home. With all of this in mind, we do encourage our clients to look at the staging process as an investment. Typically, clients who invest more upfront into the staging process will receive greater monetary returns in the long run. When we succeed, you succeed, which is why we aim to provide our clients with nothing but the best.
How long does the furniture remain in the house?
On average our homes remain staged for roughly 45 days. With that said, we are flexible and willing to offer extensions when necessary. We remain in close contact with your agent during the entirety of the process. Once we receive confirmation of your home’s closing date, we will make plans to retrieve the furniture. These plans are typically finalized in two to three days.
